Hi! I’m Winnie! I also answer to Winifred and WinWin.  I’m housebroken, crate-trained, and generally awesome and entertaining! Foster Mom says that I am incredibly cute. I have a great personality.  I am sweet, I love to cuddle, and I LOVE kids.  I love a good game of ball, and I love to wrestle with other dogs. Oh, and if you have a cat, I’ll help you get rid of that menace. Seriously—-no cats.  I have something they are calling a prey drive, and I like to spend my time stalking squirrels and birds and toads.  I will be your side-kick 24/7.  My foster mom recently cleaned out her shed. I hung out all day, including napping on a tarp after I rid every corner of spiderwebs and ate all the spilled bird seed off of the floor. And when foster mom puts laundry away, I take a nap in a corner of her closet.  I would prefer to be with my person all day every day, but as long as I have a dog buddy I don’t seem to have any separation anxiety.

I like having a dog door and a fenced-in yard, but who doesn’t? It makes it easier to bark at the blowing leaves in the backyard! I  bark—-did I mention that? I have a raspy voice that is pretty fun to listen to, which is a good thing, because I like to hear myself bark!!! band ate all the spilled bird seed off of the floor.

And while I have a couple of quirks, foster mom says they are manageable.  I ended up a K Kid when my family in a big city realized that big city living was stressing me out. I don’t like meeting other dogs on leash, and I don’t like people who come to the house to do work.

I’ve been in my foster home for a couple of months now. My foster mom says I need to tell you some stuff.  Firstly, if you want to leash-walk me, you’re going to need a lesson on how to deal with my reactivity on a leash.  It won’t be too hard, but you have to be proactive.  Secondly, you must close me in a room or a crate when new people come over. You must be prepared to do slow introductions. I have a bad habit of nipping new people’s ankles.  Once I know them, I’m cool, but introductions must be slow and structured. But, once I know someone, I LOVE them forever!!  Can I love you forever?  Please????
